Chemical Peels in Bethlehem, PA

REVEAL THE SKIN UNDERNEATH

A chemical peel is one of the most effective ways to resurface your skin, clear congestion, fade discoloration, and accelerate cellular renewal. At Posh Medical Spa, we offer a curated selection of medical-grade peels, including specialty formulas you will not find at most med spas, each chosen for its safety, its versatility, and its results.

How Chemical Peels Work

A chemical peel uses a controlled solution to exfoliate damaged outer layers of skin and trigger the renewal of healthier skin beneath. As the treated layers shed, your body accelerates cellular turnover, ramps up collagen production, and brings fresh, undamaged skin cells to the surface.

The depth of a peel determines how aggressively it resurfaces the skin and how much downtime to expect. Superficial peels work on the outermost layer and are ideal for mild texture concerns, dullness, and light pigmentation. Medium-depth peels reach into the upper dermis to address sun damage, fine lines, acne scarring, and more stubborn discoloration.

The peel selected for your treatment depends on your skin type, your concerns, and how much recovery time fits your schedule. During your consultation, we evaluate all of these factors and match you with the right formula.

VI Peel

The VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel and one of the most versatile treatments in our menu. It combines a synergistic blend of trichloroacetic acid, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C to resurface the skin and address multiple concerns in a single treatment.

Because the VI Peel works on several issues at once, it is an excellent choice for patients dealing with a combination of concerns: fine lines and wrinkles, acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage, uneven texture, and enlarged pores. The formula includes a numbing agent, which makes the application far more comfortable than a traditional medium-depth peel.

The VI Peel is safe for all skin types and tones, including darker complexions. After treatment, the skin feels tight for the first two days, with visible peeling beginning around day three and continuing through day six or seven. Most patients see noticeable improvement in clarity and texture within a week, with full results developing over the following weeks. For stubborn concerns like acne scarring or melasma, a series of three to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart is recommended.

Factor Five

Factor Five is a next-generation resurfacing treatment that pairs professional chemical exfoliation with human stem cell growth factors. It is a two-step system: a TCA-based penetrating solution resurfaces the skin, followed by a concentrated dose of stem cell factors that delivers the proteins your skin needs to repair and remodel itself.

This combination is what sets Factor Five apart. Traditional peels exfoliate and then leave the skin to recover on its own. Factor Five exfoliates and then actively supports the regeneration process, which means more dramatic results with far less downtime, discomfort, and visible peeling.

Factor Five treats fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin, and scarring. Most patients see improvement in tone, texture, and pore size after the first treatment, with results continuing to build over the following week and beyond. It is safe for most skin types and is performed in a series of treatments spaced seven to ten days apart for the most dramatic outcome.

Factor Five is also offered as a facial treatment on our Advanced Facials menu under the name Renewal Dermal Solution.

SuperNova Peels

SuperNova is a line of advanced biphasic peels made in Italy by Supernova Laboratories. These are next-generation TCA-based peels that combine the resurfacing power of trichloroacetic acid with a nourishing blend of mandelic acid, vitamin B12, and skin-soothing compounds. The biphasic formulation is what makes them special: one phase exfoliates and renews, while the other calms and protects, all in a single application.

This dual action allows SuperNova peels to deliver serious resurfacing and cell regeneration while keeping side effects mild and downtime short. They are used to treat acne lesions, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, enlarged pores, and the early and advanced signs of aging. Because the formula is not photosensitizing, SuperNova peels can be performed year-round, even in the summer months.

SuperNova peels are available in different concentrations, allowing us to tailor the treatment to your skin and your concern, from a gentle revitalizing peel to a stronger formula for moderate to severe acne and deeper scarring. They are safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. This is one of the specialty treatments that distinguishes Posh from other med spas in the area.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Consultation

We evaluate your skin type, your concerns, and your lifestyle to determine which peel is right for you. We consider factors like skin sensitivity, recent sun exposure, current skincare products, and any other treatments you have had recently.

During Treatment

The peel solution is applied to clean skin and left on for a prescribed amount of time. Depending on the peel, you may feel a tingling, warming, or mild stinging sensation. Most peels take 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish. Oxygen infusion is completely comfortable with no sensation beyond a cool, refreshing feeling.

After Treatment

Post-peel care matters. Depending on the depth of your peel, you may experience mild redness, tightness, and visible flaking over the following days. Our advanced peels like Factor Five and SuperNova are specifically formulated to minimize visible peeling. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and recommend strict sun avoidance and daily SPF during the healing process. Most patients see visible improvement within one to two weeks.

Aura Peel

The Aura peel is a brightening-focused treatment designed for patients whose primary concern is dullness, uneven tone, and a lack of natural radiance. It gently resurfaces the skin while targeting the pigment irregularities and surface buildup that leave the complexion looking tired and flat.

Aura is an excellent choice for patients who want a visible boost in glow and clarity without significant downtime. It works beautifully as a standalone brightening treatment and is also a wonderful option for patients preparing for an event who want their skin looking its most luminous. We will assess your skin during your consultation to confirm whether the Aura peel is the right fit for your goals.

Oxygen Infusion

Oxygen infusion is the gentlest treatment in this category and the only one with no peeling or downtime at all. Rather than chemically exfoliating the skin, this treatment infuses the complexion with oxygen along with a blend of nourishing, hydrating serums.

The result is an immediate boost in hydration, plumpness, and radiance. Oxygen infusion is ideal for patients who want glowing, refreshed skin before an event, as well as those with sensitive skin who are not candidates for a more aggressive peel. It is also a beautiful complementary treatment to pair with injectables or other services when you want your skin looking its best with zero recovery time.
