The Motus uses a cooled sapphire tip that stays in constant contact with the skin, gradually heating the follicle while keeping the surrounding tissue cool and protected. The result is a treatment that is genuinely comfortable from start to finish.
Two Wavelengths. Every Skin Tone.
The Motus AZ pairs the two gold-standard wavelengths in laser hair removal: Alexandrite (755nm) and Nd:YAG (1064nm). The Alexandrite wavelength is the most effective option available for targeting hair pigment in lighter skin. The Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates more deeply and is the safest, most reliable option for medium and darker skin tones.
Many older laser systems offer only one of these wavelengths, which limits who can be treated safely and effectively. What to Expect at Your Appointment
Consultation
Your first visit includes a skin and hair assessment to determine the best treatment approach for your skin type, hair color, and the area being treated. We will discuss how many sessions to expect, what the treatment feels like, and how to prepare.
During Treatment
The Motus handpiece glides across the skin in smooth, continuous movements. Most patients describe the sensation as a gentle warmth. Smaller areas like the upper lip can be treated in under five minutes. Larger areas like full legs or the back take longer but remain comfortable throughout. No topical numbing is needed.
After Treatment
You can return to your normal activities immediately. There is no downtime. You may notice mild redness in the treated area, which typically resolves within a few hours. Treated hairs will shed gradually over the following two to three weeks.
How Many Sessions You Will Need
Hair grows in cycles, and laser hair removal is most effective during the active growth phase. Because only a percentage of your hair is in this phase at any given time, a series of treatments is required for full results. Most patients achieve optimal reduction in six to eight sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart depending on the area being treated.
We track your progress at each visit and adjust settings as needed to maximize results. Some patients may benefit from occasional maintenance sessions after completing their initial series.
